The Main Themes and Topics Covered in This Juzz/Para of the Holy Quran

Para 28, known as Qad Sami Allah, brings together guidance for family life, public conduct, and the responsibilities of a believing community. Surah Al-Mujadilah begins with a woman’s complaint concerning zihar, an unjust marital declaration, and sets out its correction and expiation.

The surah also addresses secret conversations, manners in gatherings, and sincerity in religious loyalty. Allah hears every conversation, including words spoken privately, so conduct must reflect awareness of His knowledge.

Surah Al-Hashr recalls the expulsion of Bani Nadir and explains the distribution of certain communal gains. It praises the generosity of the Ansar and warns against hypocrisy.

Its closing verses call people to prepare for the Hereafter and reflect upon Allah’s beautiful names. Surah Al-Mumtahanah discusses loyalty during hostility and the examination of emigrating believing women.

It distinguishes hostile conduct from peaceful relations, expressly allowing kindness and justice towards those who do not fight or expel Muslims. Surah As-Saff condemns saying what one does not do and calls for united commitment.

Surah Al-Jumu’ah directs believers to leave trade for the Friday prayer, then return to lawful activity while remembering Allah. Surah Al-Munafiqun exposes deceptive appearances and warns that wealth and children must not distract from remembrance.

Charity should be given before death brings regret. Surah At-Taghabun emphasises resurrection, obedience, and trust in Allah.

Family and wealth can become tests, yet believers are encouraged to pardon, remain mindful, and spend sincerely. Surah At-Talaq gives rules for divorce, waiting periods, housing, and financial support.

It repeatedly links careful observance of Allah’s limits with taqwa and reliance upon Him. Surah At-Tahrim calls for sincere repentance and responsibility for oneself and one’s family.

The examples of the wives of Nuh and Lut, Pharaoh’s believing wife, and Maryam show that personal faith and conduct matter more than family connections, social position, or outward religious association.

Selected tafsir references (Ma’ariful Qur’an): 58:1; 59:18; 60:8; 62:9; 65:1; 66:6.
